The ‘McCheek’ name comes from the combining of the owners’ names when we bought our first retreat property in 2013 in South Lake Tahoe, CA. Since then, we have upgraded from .40 acres in Tahoe to 5 acres in Washougal, WA. We have experienced many wonderful memories since transitioning to the Pacific North West (PNW) and we sincerely hope you will as well during your visit.

As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit sanctuary for established and emerging leaders McCheek Manor is committed to helping current and high potential leaders develop the strategy, motivation, and accountability required to succeed in their personal and business lives. By offering organizational development and leadership principles to collaborate with clients, we seek to provide ‘sanctuary’ experiences designed to refresh and avoid derailment.

But it wasn’t always this way. Marilyn and Robert met when they both worked in California’s Silicon Valley. One marriage later followed by the purchase of a second house, they quickly bonded over providing sanctuary experiences for guests of their South Lake Tahoe home. One by one, the kids moved up to the Pacific North West so in 2018, Marilyn and Robert did too. Nine months later, Marilyn’s mother and brother moved up as well. McCheek Manor as it is known now, was purchased in 2022 and began serving guests in 2023. We are excited and honored to steward over this amazing property and offer it to our guests as they find their own bliss during their stay.
